DIY French Tip Nails

A French manicure includes a style of polishing the nails wherein white nail polish is applied to the tips of the fingernails and the rest of the nails are given a sheer polish that is coloured either pale pink (for a more modern look) or very light beige (for a natural look).

The French manicure is very good for short nails and nails that have a moderate length. It gives a natural look that is smooth and classy.

Here I would like to share with you guys a simple and basic French tip nails with 2 easily available shades.

Requirements:

  • Base Coat (I am using Lakme Spa line)
  • White nail polish (I am using Lakme Vanilla).

Method:
  1.  Remove your old nail with a nail polish remover and cotton swap.
  2.  Wash your nails with soap and water to remove any residue.
  3.  White Tip: Now take the white nail polish and run the brush horizontally across the finger nail tip that is exposed. Take very little nail polish on the brush. This will give a fine white tip. Keep the white tips the same size on all nails.
  4. Let it dry for 2 minutes.
  5. Now paint the entire length of your nails with the transparent coat. Apply 1 or 2 coats.
  6.  Allow it to dry.
  7. Remove misplaced polish by using a cotton swab. Dip a small part of the into nail polish remover. Carefully rub the polish that is on the skin surrounding the nails.
